Mardi 14 novembr- Quatrième jour: Nice

We started the day with lessons at 8:45 at the Antibes International Learning Centre, and then had lunch at 12:30.

We climbed on to the bus for a short 1 hour drove to Nice, and got off at the Museum of Modern Art and Contemporary Art (Mamac). There, we admired the beautiful pieces by influential artists such as Yves Klein and Claude Lalanne.

Following that, we walked through the town to the Saleya market, and passed #ilovenice, where we had plenty of chances to take group photos.

The plan was to go to a creamery that offered over 60 flavors of ice cream, but unfortunately it was closed due to it being the end of the touriste season. We finished the day with a nice walk on the "Walk of the English" and then had some free time near the town centre, 

The rendez-vous point was the Masséna square at the "Fountain of Apollo". The town of Nice was actually founded by the Greeks, and their influence has been preserved. In the square was also a piece by the same artist who built the iconic "Nomad" statue that we visited on the first day, Jaume Plensa. The piece is called "a Conversation in Nice" seven men facing one another perched atop columns, a metaphor for the relations between the seven contents of the world.        

  

La journée a commencé avec les leçons a 9 heures moins le quart, au Centre International d'Antibes, et puis le déjeuner a 12 heures trente.

Nous sommes montés en bus pour un trajet d'une heure jusqu'à Nice, et nous sommes arrivés pour visiter le Musée d'art moderne et d'art contemporain (Mamac). Là-bas, nous avons pu admirer les belle œuvres d’artistes comme Yves Klein, et Claude Lalanne.

Puis, on a fait une petite randonnée jusqu’au marché Cours Saleya en passant par #ilovenice, où nous avons posé pour une photo de groupe.

Malheureusement le glacier qui vend plus de 60 parfums était fermé a cause de la fin de la saison touristique. Nous avons fini la journée avec une jolie promenade sur la “Promenade des Anglais”, et puis du temps libre au centre ville.

Nous avions rendez-vous Place Masséna a la fontaine d’Apollon. En effet, la ville de Nice a été fondée par les Grecques. Sur la place, se trouve aussi une autre œuvre de Jaume Plensa qui s’appelle “la Conversation à Nice” (une photo en bas), une métaphore pour les relations entre les septs continents du monde, sept statues d’hommes.
